The power and versatility of photography have always intrigued me. A photograph is an instant frozen in time, a single image that can both capture and provoke the strongest of human emotions. Since the first photograph was made, almost two hundred years ago, we have used the medium to document, to remember, to share and to create works of art. Some photographs, of momentous people and events, have literally changed the world.
